In another significant milestone for Women in Tech & Entrepreneurship (WTE), the organization is thrilled to announce the launch of its fourth chapter in just six months, this time in Fort Lauderdale. This expansion further highlights WTE’s rapid growth and commitment to fostering an environment that empowers women in the technology and entrepreneurship sectors. The launch event will occur at the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation (Levan Center of Innovation), “The World’s First Theme Park for Entrepreneurs™.”

“WTE’s growth in such a short time illustrates the profound need for spaces that support women in tech and entrepreneurship,” says Raechel Canipe, Founder of WTE. “Our exciting expansion into Fort Lauderdale is a significant milestone in our mission to dismantle barriers, a commitment reflected in our unique dues-free membership and empowering member-led model.”

Catarina “Cat” Suplicy, a dynamic leader in the community, will serve as the Chair for the Fort Lauderdale chapter. Born in Salvador, Brazil, and now a prominent figure in the Florida business community, Catarina brings her multifaceted experience and passion for empowering women in technology to her role as Chapter Chair.

“I am thrilled to step into the role as Chair of the newly established Fort Lauderdale Chapter of Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship (WTE)” says Catarina Suplicy. “Drawing from my current role as Director of Community Engagement at the Levan Center of Innovation, I look forward to bringing my experiences and passion for technology and entrepreneurship to empower and inspire more women in our community. As we launch this new chapter, we reiterate our commitment to creating an inclusive environment that encourages women to pursue their dreams and break through the glass ceiling. Let’s write a new narrative of strength, innovation, and success for women in tech and entrepreneurship in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County together.”
